Kate Banco

Kate began writing Young Adult novels after she retired from teaching. She taught for over 23 years both online and in the classroom. Originally from Upstate, New York she now resides in Oregon.\n ESL, Reading, Alternative Ed, and Spanish are some of the classes she taught. Her experiences working with immigrant students gave her a number of different stories she wanted to write. Although based on stories her students told, all of Kate's work is fiction.\n Her first book, Fish Camp: A Young Girl's Journey to Freedom was published in 2018. Forensics Camp: Where There is Always and Unbelievable Story is the sequel and was published in 2019. The third book in the trilogy, Bear Island Camp: New Beginnings, will be published in 2020.
